Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026 · Last updated: May 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Mind Games ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information. Mind Games is operated by Conner Coy as a sole developer.

By using Mind Games, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who this applies to

Mind Games is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us information, please contact us at the address below.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to make the app work for you.

Account information

  • Email address (used to sign in)
  • Password (handled by our auth provider Supabase; we never see or store your password in plain text)

Profile information you provide

  • Name (display only)
  • Sport
  • Self-reported mental challenge focus area

App content you create

  • Journal entries (free-write and prompted)
  • Daily check-in entries (stress level, confidence level, optional note)
  • Routines and routine steps
  • Goals and goal notes
  • Game / competition events and post-game reflections
  • Progress data (streaks, XP, level)

We do not collect

  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit
  • Any biometric data

3. How we use your information

We use the information you give us only to:

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • Display, sync, and back up your personal content across your devices
  • Compute and display your streak, XP, and progress
  • Send you a daily reminder notification, if you've enabled it (notifications are scheduled locally on your device — we don't push them from a server)

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Where your information is stored

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase Inc., our database and authentication provider. Supabase hosts data in the United States and follows industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. You can read Supabase's privacy practices at https://supabase.com/privacy.

We've configured row-level security on every database table so that you can only read and write your own data — not other users' data.

5. Mental health content

Mind Games is designed for mental performance training, not mental health treatment. Your journal entries, check-ins, and reflections may include sensitive information. We treat this content as confidential and apply the same security controls described above.

Mind Games is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or one of the resources listed in the Profile → Mental Health Resources screen of the app.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share information only with:

  • Supabase — as our data processor for authentication and storage (see Section 4)
  • Apple — limited App Store information you'd expect (subscription status, anonymous crash reports if you've enabled sharing in your iOS settings)
  • Legal authorities — only if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, etc.)

We do not currently use analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising networks.

7. Your rights

You can:

  • Access your data — everything you've entered is visible in the app itself
  • Correct your data — edit profile fields, journal entries, routines, etc., directly in the app
  • Delete your data — delete individual entries in the app, or contact us to permanently delete your entire account and all associated data
  • Export your data — contact us and we'll provide a copy of your account data in a portable format (JSON)

If you are a resident of California, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with specific data rights (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), you have additional rights including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, scoped access tokens, and row-level database security. No system is 100% secure; we will notify you if we become aware of a security incident affecting your data.

9. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, your data is removed from our database within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in the app the next time you sign in. Continued use of the app after the change means you accept the new policy.
